Wall South Cleaning

Washing of the Wall is scheduled to be completed each quarter, if not earlier, depending on its appearance and/or weather conditions.
  1. Amount of volunteers required: 6-10 per event
  2. Time required per event: 4-5 hours
  3. Prior to the washing, the area between the Wall and LED lighting must be cleared of any debris, i.e.: leaves, sand or mulch and/or any other materials. (Equipment to perform this service will be provided by the Park Board)
  4. Items required by the volunteers: Mild dish soap, cotton towels for washing and drying, 6' step ladders (a minimum of 2)

Sidewalk Cleaning

Using electric lawn blowers, this event is scheduled each month, or earlier depending on its appearance and/or weather conditions. All sidewalks in and around the perimeter of the Park requires cleaning.
  1. Amount of volunteers required: 4-6 per event
  2. Time required per event: 3-4 hours
  3. Items required by the volunteers: Electric lawn blowers and long HD extension cords

Brass Plaques Cleaning/Polishing

All brass plaques within the Park require cleaning, this event is scheduled every quarter.
  1. Amount of volunteers required: 10-15 per event
  2. Time required per event: 4-6 hours
  3. Items required by volunteers: Cans of "Braso Metal Polish", soft cotton or microfiber towels, both for applying the Braso, and the removal of same, knee pads or towels to kneel on concrete when cleaning plaques

Landscaping Projects

Consists of trimming/cutting/removal of tree branches, Palmetto bushes, rose bushes and/or any other identified vegetation within the Park. This event is "ONGOING", on a WEEKLY basis. All debris must be bagged and/or tied in bunches and positioned at the curb for sanitation pick-up by the city.
  1. Amount of volunteers required: 10-15 per event
  2. Time required per event: 4-6+ hours
  3. Items required by volunteers: Gloves, pointed shovels, rakes, push brooms, large HD trash bags, electric hedge trimmers, gas or electric chain saws, electric or gas pole (branch) trimmers, hand held pruning tools and long handle Loppers  

Painting Projects

Consists of painting and/or re-painting of designated areas within the Park. All materials for this event will be provided by the Park Board or local business's donating products and/or materials. This type of project is based on the need of painting, not an ongoing project.
  1. Amount of volunteers required: 4-10 per event
  2. Time required per event: 3-5 hours
  3. Items required by volunteers: Gloves, knee pads or towels to protect knees from concrete burns

Trench Digging/Filling Project

Requires manual labor to dig and cover 80’ trench, 12” Wide X 18” Deep. This is a two-part event, first to dig, then cover on a different day, covering of trench must be scheduled shortly after conduit is laid by electrician. This is a One Time project.
  1. Amount of volunteers required: 6-10 per event
  2. Time required per event: 2-4 hours
  3. Items required by volunteers: Gloves, round nose, spade or trenching and flat shovels, garden rakes
